Hi.

Welcome to our blog! We are two 20-somethings trying to see as much of the world as possible. Read on about our travel adventures and enjoy our BS!

Sunflowers for (Birth)Days

Sunflowers for (Birth)Days

I don't know about you, but Shan's feeling 22!

This past week, we got home from spending our summer working at a sleepaway camp in the Poconos and pretty much as soon as we did, Shannon's b-day was upon us. As per usual, Shannon didn't feel like planning anything, so she graciously bestowed the honor on me. I love planning birthdays, so I was pretty excited.

I told Shan to wear a cute outfit and meet me at my house, at which point we left with our BFF Mike for the Sussex County Sunflower Maze.

Out here in Sussex, it's pretty much bumblef*ck. There's farms for days and cows galore. We drove an hour through the farmy wilderness to get there, but it was worth it.

We called the maze because, as always, we were running late and wanted to make sure we'd still be able to get in. We're literally always late. (Shannon argues that it's my fault, but I beg to differ.) Despite the fact that we showed up ten minutes after closing, the owners kindly let us in, and even gave us some solid photo tips (ty for the assistance).

We obviously had a nice little photoshoot because what else would we do. Check it out.

After leaving the maze (which was hot AF by the way), Shannon was faced with the daunting task of using one of the Porta Potties. Bad choice but Mike held the door for her and she survived. We then headed back to my house to get ready for a night out to celebrate Shan's graceful aging. Overall, we'd rate the maze 9/10 for Insta-worthy shots, 4/10 for bathrooms.
